Description
English: Persian Gulf (July 30, 2005) - Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Audrey Lilge of Mount Vernon, Ill., assigned to the “Wallbangers” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron One One Seven (VAW-117), removes the rear spinner from an E-2C Hawkeye propeller aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The Nimitz Strike Group is currently on a regularly scheduled deployment and is participating in Maritime Security Operations (MSO). MSO set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations.
